Whatever happened to this coin it appears to have happened a long time ago as evidenced by the wear.

Thoughts?
Thanks

I feel it was a lamination issue on your coin. It should be under weight a little. Note the weakness on UNUM?

I feel the lamination fell out post strike. If the coin is close to normal weight, it may have been pre-strike, but I feel that is not the case because of the normal shape of the affected areas.

I think it fell out after the strike also. If it wasnt there during the strike, design on the reverse would be missing. Lamination with years and years of circulation. I've never seen one like it before. Nice one
