Please Help! I have this Wheat penny that looks like the date and the area around it was scraped off. Not to sure what's going on here with this. I have tried to use a looking glass and I couldn't see anything. I hope these are good enough pictures. Thank you !

Please let me know if these pictures are better. I only have my phone to take photos so I'm trying to get the best lighting and pictures that I can. Thanks!

Your cent took a hit and wiped out the date and mint mark

If I can add my 2 cents worth... , it could be a pre-1918 Lincoln since I don't observe a vdb initial at the bottom of Lincolns coat, though it is hard to tell. I also agree with the other posts here that it is PMD (post-mint-damage).

Guessing this is deliberate damage, not a hit.

I agree, deliberate defacing, post mint damage ( PMD).

Yup definite PMD. I hate not knowing. If you look at Wheat cent design changes on a site like variety vista, you might be able to bracket the age of the coin base on subtle design changes. Sort of like seeing a "VDB" means 1909, but more subtle even. Not worth the time in $$$, but maybe just to quench your curiosity.
