Hello everyone, it is my first post here and it will be quite random. So what happened, I went to the garden this morning to clean up after my dog and when I leaned down I found this coin/token looking at me from between my broken shed steps. So I brought it back home and washed it in soapy water. It still looks pretty rough though. Tried to identify it but it doesn't really give much information, so maybe someone here can help and say what it is I dug out please? It seems that both sides look the same therefore I am attaching only one image.

Hello and

Looks like a medallion or token of some kind rather than a coin.

What is the diameter and approximate weight?

This is a British slot machine token - of a similar size to the old penny..
Not sure if anyone knows who issued these.

One of the many pieces issued by the Reader's Digest here in the UK.

It was sent in a mailshot along with a scratchcard. When you had scraped the foil off the scratchcard you undoubtedly had "won" whatever promotion it was that they were running.

I received mine in August 1990.
