it is definitely a coin. true silver and gold
Just to clarify the terminology.
A "coin" is issued by a government or government-sanctioned issuing authority (like a central bank), and has a face value denoted on it and/or is recognized as such in law by that government as a piece of money.
A "token" is a coin-like object, usually used as money or with some monetary function, but which has not been issued by a government, or has been issued by a government that did not have the legal rights to issue coinage (such as the government of an American state).
A "medal" is a coin-like object which has no monetary function whatsoever. Medals can be issued by governments, or (more commonly) by private individuals or companies. They usually commemorate some date or event.
Your object is therefore not a coin, but a medal.
Don't say "infinitely" when you mean "very"; otherwise, you'll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite. - C. S. Lewis
