Q: Is the brown appearance on this quarter environmental?

Q: The planchet 5.76g. Is this a wrong planchet error? (The possibility of foreign planchets throws me off)

Environmental tarnishing/staining/damage. May have spent time buried in soil or involved in a fire of some sort. Looks to have years of grime built up on the surfaces. We see a lot of these, several a week here in this forum. This is not a mint error or any sort, it's post mint damage.

to the CCF!

Is there a possibility that the Black Beauty nickel composition could be found on a quarter?
