I am new to coin collecting and this dime left me puzzled. 2000P dime that is darker and duller than any I've ever seen. It isn't dirty or dingy...any ideas?

Environmental tarnishing/staining/damage. May have been buried in soil for a length of time. Etching on surface is a give-away that it's acid damage. Not a mint error. PMD.
