Improper Alloy Mix Or Annealed Quarters

quarterhunter New Member United States 1 Posts	Posted 01/15/2021 3:19 pm I specialize in variety / error quarters. My question is regarding improper alloy mix and improper annealed coins. I have many of various colors. Some have the nickel showing through, and some don't. Without damaging the coin, is there a definitive test method to determine if a coin has either of these anomalies, short of sending it to one of the grading companies? I just got a bank roll where the 2019 River of No Return is a dark gray. Must be a mistake of some kind. I am new to the forum and need to figure out how to reduce my image size. Greasy Fingers Pillar of the Community United States 7077 Posts	Posted 01/16/2021 12:42 am to CCF In regards to the improperly annealed error, if your able to I would suggest buying a graded example of one (I picked up a SBA example for under 20 bucks) that would allow you to compare each questionable coin with a proven one.
