I believe this coin is Edward I from the Newcastle Mint. Can anyone confirm and/or add any details? The coin is 1.4g and 17mm. Also, does anyone have a good website lead on identifying the different classes? Thanks!

Yes. There are relatively few classes for Newcastle. I would say class 10ab2 with the caveat I am not yet fully caffeinated.

Thanks Kushanshah. I think you're right. After a lot more searching I found the following site that seems fairly comprehensive at least for the early Edwardian pennies: https://www.ukdfd.co.uk/pages/edwar...20background

Thanks for the vote of confidence, @greasy, but I'm not very strong on English medievals.
But the UK subforum is full of experts on all periods of UK coinage.
