1984 LMC Strick Through

This 1984 appears to have be struck through paper or cloth. I first thought it was a plating issue but not sure. Lincoln has a straight line running east to west right at his hair line. There is a north to south line at end of line in his hair ending at his ear. It then runs east to west just under his eye ending at the south end of north south line.

Looks like damage to the coin. Not deep enough to expose the zinc, but note the metal is showing a raise like a trench/wave above/below the normal design. If this were a struck through error, the wave would not be there.
