I've had this 1972 S Finnish 1 Marka for quite a long time and some of the devises appear to be doubled on the reverse. The Lions neck, eye, sword, pummel, claws as well as the lions tail. I am more of an American variety collector and not well versed on foreign coinage. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

Not Machine Doubling. I know on some foreign coins the dies are plated with chrome and when the chrome chips away, mostly at the edge of the devises, it can looked doubled. I am inclined to think that's what I am seeing. Machine Doubling wouldn't show two separate guards at the handle of the sword.

I would love to see an example where MD shows complete separation that isn't reduced in size!
