Hi all, been away for a while but not from coins. (computer melt down). Anyway.........I came across several bags of coins and sorted through them. It's taken me weeks. Most of the coins were pennies and many from 1983 appear to have a somewhat bubbled finish on them. I am just curious what caused this, as it appears the 1983 coins were the ones that this was most prevelant. Was it a new finsh the mint tried and just didn't get right? I'd post a pic but figured ya'll have seen this before and wouldn't need one. Any ideas? Thanks

Probably sub-standard plating. 1983 was the first full year cents were copper plated. They probably didn't have the bugs out.[:0]
