The "7 3 _" of a 1730s date visible (last digit looks to be 9) under the bottom of a later-style Philip V monogram...

Lovely realeswatcher. A clear date counts for something, and it does look like a 9, but there's not much of a monogram.

I have a junkpile of similar 1/2 reales. $20 max, with great monograms.

Sad part is that the seller WAS in fact involved with the salvage of the Association wreck (and the Hollandia)...

Note this is not a one-time thing that could be written off as an honest mix-up in material... He's been doing this for years - for a while he was often buying raw on ebay and reselling with his own wreck cert.
