1986 Lincoln Penny Obverse Error/Damage

Can someone help me with obverse of this Lncoln penny. I see something wrong with the "L"in liberty, as well a line the appears to be die break or some sort of clad deterioration circling at least half the coin.?

liberty is missing the horizontal leg on the "L"

The "I" also appears to have a shadowed twin to it's left.

From the closeups it looks the L was a victim of split plating that turned into zinc rot. The I's "Twin" is a result of Die Deterioration (Doubling)

I think it was caused by the Ridge Ring.
