1986 Lincoln Penny Obverse Error/Damage

I see something wrong with the "L"in liberty, as well a line the appears to be die break or some sort of clad deterioration circling at least half the coin.? Report this Post to the Staff

Rothery Pillar of the Community 2145 Posts	Posted 01/23/2021 7:40 pm From the closeups it looks the L was a victim of split plating that turned into zinc rot. The I's "Twin" is a result of Die Deterioration (Doubling) Report this Post to the Staff
