I have this 1988 nickel that has a centimeter long slit through the monticello. What do you think? And is it worth anything.

Larger, high resolution photos of the coin's obverse and reverse would provide more information. Difficult to determine what's going on with the existing image. Appears to be a post-strike gash, but not certain.
