I have a couple hundred slabs mostly PCGS, and was wondering what is the best way to protect them from scratches etc.?

I currently use small ziplock bags but have not found a good tight fit.
I have thought about heat shrink as I have the required equipment but it is my understanding that heat shrink contains PVC.

What does everyone else do?

Thanks

That's a great question. I know that for slabbed sports cards they have sleeves that are available that go over the slab. I have not seen these available for coins as of yet but that doesn't mean they are not out there. I'll start looking around and see if I can find any.

I just did a quick search on google and came up with about 3 different sellers on ebay that offer them. I searched for protective sleeves for slabbed coins.

Purchase those boxes like biokemist6 shows, cut many small pieces of cardboard to fit inbetween each slab.
My method is to open them, place the coins in an album, throw out the plastic cases they come in.

I do not collect slabs, but if I did, I would probably like the box that Biokemist recommended.

I use boxes that came from PCGS to hold my PCGS slabs and boxes that came from NGC to hold my NGC slabs. NGC will not fit in PCGS box because they are to tall. I also have some of the cardboard boxes that have spacers for something like 20 coins that NGC ships coins back to you in after they have been graded

I have several of those boxes. They are great for sorting the different sizes of batteries. I have many cards full of those button batteries for watches, toys, watches, etc. and no good place for them. Those boxes are great for that.
Not one slabbed coin though.
If you do open those slabs, many have a great rubberized type washer to hold the coin. If you make your own clocks, those are good to hold the movements in place.
