Mintmark is affected by die wear and circulation flattening. (Possible broken post on the center. Image is a bit small, but I think that is what I see there)
Looks like the left side of the mintmark took a hit and with the broken post, it looks a bit like a 'T'. But just a coin struck with a die event issue and circulation and age catching up with it. 38 years old now.
