Another Roman Provincial that has me stumped I am thinking possibly Gabala in Syria ? Legend seems easy enough AVT K M A ANTΩNINOC Caracalla ! But can't find anything with the same reverse type I believe it may read ΓAB - A - ΛEωN Zeus seated left holding scepter and Tyche with cornucopia ? 11.88 grams 25-6mm Opinions ?

Hi guys-
I really do not like seeing zero responses on this board so I am hoping to revive this one. LOL. First let me say I am definitely not a Roman Provincial expert nor do I collect them. That being said- I think that FVRIVS RVFVS put this one out here to get some discussion and research going on.
AVT K M A ANTΩNINOC says to me that this coin is probably from the Severan dynasty. So not a Galba. So, who do we have to research? Septimius Severus, Caracalla, Geta, Macrinus, Elagabalus, and maybe even Uranius Antoninus, and Severus Alexander.
Could the reverse legend possibly be AΓΧI A ΛEΩN? Not Septimius Severus because of the obverse portrait. How about maybe ΦIΓ A ΛEΩN?

On second thought that would be an ugly set of wings, I agree with FVRIVS it looks like cornucopia, in which case can't find a match.

I've been searching too and can't find anything that resembles the OP! Just wanted to throw some other ideas in the pot... Are we sure it's Jupiter ?.....Neptune? or another god seated.... Caracalla or Macrinus?

Well for what it is worth I thank you all for putting on the thinking caps I had hoped our resident "magician" (I think we all know to whom I refer) would be able to make sense of this one The portrait has that distinctive cartoon quality of someone dropped an anvil on Caracalla's head and he is not amused kind of look The reverse seems almost certainly Zeus altho it could be Neptune I did notice just now a Gabala reverse which depicts a turreted Tyche seated left holding cornucopia and a rudder Closer examination of this coin seems to confirm that the figure held by Zeus would seem to be just that Turreted Tyche holding cornucopia and Rudder I believe the Gabala attribution is correct Its just always so much nicer to find a similar example !
Thanks to all
