There are no rpm for this year and mint but just wanted your thoughts on this mint mark. If MD it is the only MD on the coin. Thanks Rich

i always look at "PREVIEW" before posting to make sure the photos I upload are not blurry, to proof read and to make sure I didnt miss information I wanted to convey.

but lots of times I miss something...dang my short term memory.

your close ups are blurry.

BTW vv and wexlers lists one RPM

Variety Vista lists one:
http://varietyvista.com/11%20Frankl...%201958D.htm
Location looks closer for the V.V RPM but further north for your coin.

Wexler's site lists one:
1958-D 50¢ WRPM-001
http://doubleddie.com/1228740.html
You have to scroll down a ways to see it.

Neither are a match.

IF you could include more images of the devices to see if the other reverse ones are affected in the same direction. If so, then it is Machine Doubling. If not, then it might be something? (Not listed anywhere yet though)

Thanks for the extra images. But not seeing much Machine Doubling on the other areas. So not sure what to think right now.

Agreed. But the D issue does look like a shift during the strike because the bottom device is so flat and smooth. Ok will file it as a "could be". Tks Coop.
