This is what's called Mechanical Doubling or Machine Doubling or better yet just known as what's termed MD. It is not a true form of a doubled die that was caused, and then created, by the impression on the die itself. I hope there is someone here on the community that will chime in to show you pictures and explanations of this type of doubling (your coin) versus true die doubling. Report this Post to the Staff
