Question About A Lincoln Wheat Cent / LWC 1922-D, Die#2

CentSation Pillar of the Community United States 713 Posts	Posted 02/01/2021 12:32 am I have this PCGS details-graded variety that is listed as '98-damage' that I am guessing is due to the scratches below the date. It appears that whomever owned this coin tried to remove whatever is below the date. I have not seen any other of this variety with a die crack in that position and it does not appear as if the scratching implement had any affect on whatever is there. It appears too large and crooked to be a die crack and does not appear to emanate from the rim. Looks like extra material of some sort. Then later someone tried scratching at the metal to see if that piece comes off. Can we see the full pic or the PCGS #. That looks like a trueview image but I cant find it.
