I read a note in one of the threads here that mentioned there was not a glossary entry for "Rotated Die Error" and thought I would offer one up for consideration:

Rotated Die Error

An error in which the obverse and reverse designs on a coin are not in their standard orientation in relation to each other; one is rotated away from its standard position. Causes can include: 1) a die being installed into the coining press incorrectly; 2) the screws (or other mechanism) that hold the die shaft in place coming loose and allowing a die to rotate; and 3) the shaft of the die breaking and allowing free rotation of the die head. Minor rotations (<5 degrees) are very common and are not considered to be an error.

While checking the Glossary for "Rotated Die Error." I also noticed a rather odd definition for the term "round" - Short for a Pan-Pac commemorative fifty-dollar coin.

While the Pan-Pac $50 gold coins do have round and octagonal varieties, I have never heard "round" used as a shorthand reference to the gold $50 coin unless the conversation was already discussing the varieties of the coin.

My experience has been that "round" is in reference to a bullion piece (most often silver) that is circular in shape vs. a rectangular ingot. I think it might be better to change the Glossary entry to something like:

Round

A nickname for a bullion piece that has a circular shape vs. the rectangular shape of ingots and bars. It is most often used in the context of reference to a 1-ounce silver piece - a "silver round."

W
Mintmark for the city of Lille (French coins).

Probably could add W for West Point.

Piggybacking @Commems original proposal, here are a couple I think should be added as well:

SCD: Abbreviation for So-Called Dollar

So-Called Dollar: Medals approximately the size of a silver dollar. Struck in various materials to commemorate an historical event or person, as proposals for monetary options, and as souvenirs at fairs and expositions. Examples are known from the early 19th century, but most were produced in the late-19th to mid-20th century. Pieces were produced by mint facilities and by private die sinkers.

HTT: Abbreviation for Hard Times Tokens

Hard Times Tokens: tokens, usually about the size of a contemporary large copper cent. Privately minted from 1832 to 1844 and displaying diverse motifs reflecting political ideology and satire of the era. Other examples were used as advertisement for merchants, products, and services. Commonly circulated at once cent value during coin shortages of the times.

Edited: SCDs were also produced by foreign entities for U.S. sale.
