I think this might be some sort of doubled die on the obverse but it is not listed anywhere so I thought I'd ask everyone else what they thought.

On the left side of his right eye lid it almost looks like the eye was started twice.

It looks like it could be an abraded die/die gouge.

Note the mark is incuse on the right eyelid. That is coin damage. to the right of the eye and on the brow also damage. But not a DDO. The DDO area is on the nose area.

All those close-in nostril shots--and no nose hair.

But as you can see it's not indented it is raised so it's not PMD to the coin. If it's not a doubled die that's fine but what is it?
The marks to the side of the eye on his brow I understand that is damage and that's not what I'm asking about it's the raised area that is directly on his eyelid

But the contact pretty much follows the damage on the other areas of the eye. As mentioned the DDO is on the nostril areas.

Right here? Maybe a die gouge or some type of break

That probably is pushed metal. Note how it doesn't enlarge the devices. The DDR is on the central area on the nose area.

Sorry to disagree coop,it does not look like a damage on the corner of the Eye, we have seen similar examples of abraded die in that area.
BTW, I think you meant DDO?

Okay so something that I can comprehend as the cause. Die abrasion or something to those effects. Now if I can only get a picture clear enough to show you exactly how similar to the eye lid it is just shifted and lifted if that makes any sense. Thanks everyone.
