If the reverse looks about the same (or worse) it might get lowered to 62. Typically, the reverse on most Morgan dollars do not show the chatter marks like the obverse does. Those marks on the obverse, with most being in prime focal areas of the face, neck and fields, will hold this coin back from being a higher grade. Bottom line it is still a nice 120+ year old coin most of us would be happy to own! Report this Post to the Staff

But I'm starting to get the itch for the Morgan's..... I have to admit sometimes the more I look at grades the less, I think I know. When taking in all the factors like Color as well. fortcollins Pillar of the Community United States 3638 Posts	Posted 02/03/2021 7:45 pm First, With only the obverse pic, I can't be sure, but I see what could be luster disruption on the central cheek SW of the scratches, on the hair above the curl, on the first cotton blossom, on the tip of the cap, and in the field just west of the fifth right star.
