Hello, my grandma gave me this coin from an old chest she has but I can't for the life of me figure out what it is. Any help would be appreciated!

It looks to me like your mintmark is an H, which would make the date 1827. I think it has the anchor privy mark as well.

Yeah it seems like there's barely an 'H' there. It is a shame its so worn out, but I'm happy to add it to my collection either way. Thank you for the info, coin collecting has always fascinated me so I appreciate it!
