Glad I was able to pull this coin roll hunting!
It's one of the most striking varieties in my opinion.

John1, what are the pros/cons to using acetone to clean it? I'm not super familiar with acetone cleaning.

Yeah, 100% acetone is what I use all the time, it evaporates quickly, and does remove lots of gunky stuff from some coins. I also use a q-tip dunked into acetone to then remove buildup.

Acetone and q-Tips. But do (not )rub to hard that'll cause scratches. Use several q-Tips. It will not get everything off so don't try.
Sometimes you can also use a toothpick on certain places but you still need to be careful.

Just a suggestion. Practice on a coin you're not going to keep. Just to see what happens.

I don't think acetone will do anything on zinc rot, which is what your coin has.

Nice! I've been luck enough to find one of these in the wild myself, and it's a thrill!

If you are buying coins, look for examples with the fresher die states. What do you look for on these? On the 1995 that dies will show flow lines near the rim areas. If the field is flat all the way to the rim, those are the better ones to look for.:

Can you see the differences? When the grading companies grade coins, they list the same price for all die states. Sometimes even the highest graded coins are actually the later die states. So look for the better grade coins. If you don't see a better, move on to another set to see if there are some nicer earlier die state coins.

Note the width of the die flow lines. The shorter they are, the earlier the die state.

Note on these images the location of the stronger die flow lines. All images in these images are from the same coin:

So would this be one to buy, or to wait for a better example?

Same for wheat cents. What to look for on the reverse to see which is a better die state?

On the obverses of Lincoln Cents the area to the left of the 'L' on Liberty will tell you a lot about die state.

So don't grab the first coin you see. Buy a coin that when you go to sell it, will be more desirable.

Christian18,
Type acetone in the search box, lots of useful info there. A dip might not help your coin much if at all but it can't hurt it either. If it was my find I would give it a short soak and then put it in a 2x2.
