I got a box of staples after I ran out and these ones seem to be thinner than the others. All I can find out is that they are Swingline Standard Staples 23/6 which is 23 gauge 6mm or 1/4 inch. They have some times bent or broke or not gone in the 2x2 the right way. I'm using a flat clinch stapler.

So what are you guys using?

I just use generic office depot staples, a swingline stapler, and something solid to flatten the staples once they're in the 2x2. Never run into an issue with the stapler not putting the staple through a 2x2

Swingline SF4 premium staples--never a bust, always penetrate thick 2x2s.

All I've ever bought was Swingline "Standard Staples". I was using a small Swingline stapler and it seems every other staple got bent so replaced it with a 747 model and never had a problem since. Seems like it was the stapler, not the staples.

I use copper plated steel staples, curved clinched
My album pages are all either Mylar or polypropylene. Problem with these materials is that they are more slippery than clear PVC which I never use.
To stop the 2x2 flips from falling out the curve clinch grabs the inside of the album pocket better thus keeping the 2x2 flip inside the album pocket.
Rest in Peace

This, even if they are the correct gauge the material may be typical Chinese crap.

Whatever standard staples my mini swingline calls for and a pair or pliers to give them a good flattening.

These are the exact size staples that comes with my Max HD-50 F flat clinched staple gun . Those staples are perfect for any 2x2 cardboard holders . Never had a staple break on me , never had to use a pair of pliers .

If you are borrowing them, what are you giving back the bent ones.
