Error: Iran, Pahlavi: 1936 Reza Shah Silver 1/2 Nim Rial Sh 1315 / Failure

ovovo New Member Germany 3 Posts	Posted 02/09/2021 2:20 pm Dear fellow coin-lovers, I found a coin in my collection, which seems to have an production error. I realized this earlier, but never thought about it. It is an 1/2 Nim Rial (Nim means half in persian) from PERSIA / IRAN Reza Shah PAHLAVI 1315 (which equals to 1936), it is silver. I wonder if any of you can help me estimating the value of this beauty. sel_69l Bedrock of the Community Australia 21786 Posts	Posted 02/09/2021 6:24 pm 2nd picture shows genuine and very obvious planchet clip error. Authenticity proven by evidence of Blakesley effect, which shows thinner rim on opposite end of the diameter through the clip. My guess is that it may be valued at around 50 Euros in the German collector market. Report this Post to the Staff

I photographed the coin in my hand and in photoshop, to make the picture cleaner, I used cuted out the background, thats why a part of the edge of the coin is not visible, the coin is in full shape. If yes, that is just a photoshop matter, the coin is whole. What I mean as Error is the upper picture left, the front side. If you compare this one (the upper is my coin) to the picture below (which is just random from the internet), than you see that the amount in the coin (writen in persian, meaning "NIM", which is "HALF" in english) is unreadable due to too much silver material (like a few drops).
