I would have to say that it is not a commemorative medal at all based on appearances- the loop is part of it and was not added at a later time so it appears to be a key chain. If it is the size of a half dollar or smaller, then it is almost certainly a key chain. If it is bigger than that, I am back to square one

It is larger than a half dollar , I was told that it was possibly from a necklace ? Like a medallion

i have the same thing with no clue what it is all tho believe the ring was added on as my lacks this ring
