Hello guys,
I am new to this forum and I have been collecting coins since I was 7 yrs old,add another 40 now...LOL.I found it back in the 1970`s on the island of Oahu.It is about the size of a half dollar and it is made of silver.Any help would be great as to solving this mystery of a coin.Aloha

Aloha aquahunter, and

Your temple token looks to be the same basic design as the one wd1040 linked to (if you follow the links deeper to other posts you'll see more), although it's a bit less detailed than some. Still a cool find!

I have no idea what year these were minted; probably sometime in the 20th century.

There are four numbers at the bottom of the obverse (the side with the two figures standing side by side), arranged kind of like how one would expect to find the numerals of a year-date. I don't know what the numbers mean, but it almost certainly has nothing to do with the actual year of issue of the coin.

I have noticed, looking at the several examples on this "coin" posted here on the forum, that there are two different "dates". The one in this thread, and the one in this old thread, have the numbers "17" and "00". But on this one and this one the numbers are "51" and "40".

As for value, I have no idea. If they really are silver, then they're not "junk", but I'd only pay a couple of dollars for one. Augbauer sold his right here in a forum auction for $1.
