1993 Penny Wide Or Close AM ? - Coin Community Forum

AshC21 Valued Member Canada 53 Posts	Posted 02/10/2021 7:32 pm This 1993 penny looks like a Close AM but when I put my flashlight on and took a photo and zoomed in it looks like the a and the m are not touching , Is this possible? JimmyD Bedrock of the Community Canada 21610 Posts	Posted 02/10/2021 8:04 pm The AM do not have to be touching for it to be a CAM. To be a WAM, the A has to be centred between the A and M. Please show the complete coin when making posts. In this case there are two other markers to easily identify which it is. Report this Post to the Staff
josephm99 Pillar of the Community United States 791 Posts	Posted 02/10/2021 8:05 pm "Wide AMs" aka Reverse Design Variety 006 (RDV-006) was made on cents from 1989-92. These were later used for the proof reverse dies all the way up to 2008 I believe. Report this Post to the Staff
