Good morning forum! I was hoping you could help me understand what type of error this is, if it is. I was going through some old nickels I had and ran across this one. Any insight is greatly appreciated.

@nick, if you mean the series of thin parallel grooves near the rim, these are flow lines and evidence that the die that was used to strike this coin was tired.
