Will get an image of the front next time I'm in my safe was replacing some coins with higher grade I acquired and the light hit this coin in a way that caught my attention it appears there is a D that was stamped over the word cents I looked at it next to a 43 the D is the right size and the 1943 nickle when turned upside down next to the 42 puts the d in the same area any input opinions knowledge of an error like this would be helpful

Looks like circulation damage to me, but a straight-on pic would help. to the CCF!

Same here, not seeing a clear D over CENTS. I see what appears to be circulation damage above CE which has some of the shape of a giant D. Better photos will tell a more complete story.

I see an larger incuse mark on the fields on that area. But it would not be a mint issue error, because 1.It is larger than any device, 2.It is not raised like devices would be. It is a mark on the coin. PSD The brain telling you something to make sense to itself:

The marks are incuse, which means the coin is damaged. If it were a die issue, the areas in question would be raised, not incuse.
