I just noticed... the reverse stars are gold on the smaller image, but not on larger image.

Good eye.

These do look pretty cool. Too bad they don't come slabbed so they could go into, say, a mahogany Lighthouse box, jbuck.

I have been looking at other sellers. Found a bicentennial Ike, if I want a pair. I went to the webpage for the creator, but they are sold out. Plenty of other Ruthenium coins though.

Has anyone actually had one of these types of Ruthenium plated coins before? How do they actually look in hand?

I don't have any of the coins from Merrick Mint/ecoins, but I do have one of their US Mint 9/11 medals with the ruthenium and gold plating - it looks very good!

I bought one of the Ikes. I love it. They didn't gold plate the stars but it is fine with me since I really just wanted the gold eagle.

Mine is a 1974. Comes in a plastic circle holder and has a little oval stand you can push the holder in to make a stand out of it.

I think the gold eagle on black looks gorgeous

I think I prefer the stars not be planted so that is good to know. Thank you for sharing.
