Hello everyone. I'm posting a few pics of a 2014 Lincoln Memorial cent. It looks doubled on the obverse to me but I don't know if I've ever actually had a genuine one in my possession. Let me know your thoughts!

Just Machine Doubling. The doubled dies enlarge the devices and distorts them:

So how rare is it to come across a genuine double die coin?

Seems there are several from that mint that year. You just have to keep looking. When you go out of town, pick up rolls there. I've even bought some from a casino. You never know what you will find in them. But at least you might see something that the change that area does have. Some coins get rolls sent to certain locations and they are easier to find there. (Oh, I wasn't gambling in the casino. I like karaoke. Sang at locations all around the country, even Hawaii)

I'm going to disagree.

I initially thought MD, and it might be that it does have some. However; I am at a loss to explain some of the other features that are traditional DD, such as the split serifs on "Liberty", especially the "I" and the top of the "L". The "4" in the date and aspects of "GOD" are enough for me to say that I need clearer photo's to make a definitive statement. IF the "I" is truly split, for instance, then it can not be MD. At least not that aspect of it.

I would not throw this back in the pile just yet. At the least put it in a 2x2 with a "?" on it.
