DNA Pillar of the Community United States 2734 Posts	Posted 12/18/2008 10:43 pm One of the bell ringers saw the BU Martin Van Buren dollar I dropped into his kettle and asked "Is that a gold coin?!" I showed him another BU dollar and explained what it was (and donated that one, too!) The guy had never seen a BU Presidential dollar coin! At least one gold coin has been dropped into a S.A. kettle every year in Denver in recent times. Last year, they got an 1883 Half Eagle and a couple of Krugerrands. This bell ringer may have thought he was catching a gold coin donor in the act! Report this Post to the Staff
