I have heard so many stories from older relatives about "the good old days" of pulling great coins from circulation and of this accumulation building up into a very nice hoard. I never sell them, but I did trade a quantity of silver Kennedy half dollars for some Franklin half dollars to help finish the album! just carl Bedrock of the Community United States 20753 Posts	Posted 12/18/2008 5:29 pm Melt everything down to make hammer heads. If you make a hammer out of Silver or Gold, it will not spark when hitting anything. This makes it safe to work on your cars gas tank. In reality I save everything.
