I have some beautiful brilliant uncirculated (BU) coins that I would like to store in a coin album. I would like them to remain in BU condition and avoid toning or discoloration.

Which album is best for this purpose... Dansco, Lighthouse, Whitman, or something else? Or would a 3-ring binder with coins stored in 2x2 cardboard flips, mylar flips, etc. be better?

I believe that CAPS Coin Albums and Accessories are the best. https://www.capsalbums.com/complete-albums

When I used albums I used Intercept Shield albums.
(I don't use albums anymore.)
But even they would only guarantee protection for 10 years.

I suspect the best you could do is AirTights in an appropriate notebook-type holder.

I agree. I think all albums are prone to toning.

I agree, CAPS, Air-Tite, or equivalent capsules are going to offer the best protection.

I have used Dansco albums for over 36 years with no complaints, but success with these and similar albums is dependent on where you store them.

with JBuck. I have all three of the albums listed for different series which I house up to low mint state in. For those I wish to preserve, as you've mentioned, it's Air-tite ring holders. But if it's worth anything, I have an old blue Whitman that still has many Jefferson nickels unchanged, or very slight. Guess that storage conditions apply as well.

Warm, humid climates alter coins more rapidly. Some of our members put their coins in s sealed container with a desiccant to absorb moisture. The desiccant would need to be changed regularly too.
