BStrauss3 Pillar of the Community United States 4601 Posts	Posted 02/20/2021 2:54 pm Personally, I think it's a coming together of several trends and not for the best * COVID-19 - I think we're all tired right now, shorter of temper, and less tolerant of the world in general * Social media in general - I fully admit I'm a minimal user of Instagram, probably a borderline troll at times on Reddit, and a non-user of Facebook. What I have noticed is that almost all of the platforms have removed any ability to dislike something short of blocking the user. If your only quick choices are ignore or like, if you take the time to voice dislike it's usually more biting. The faster pace of life in general. Easier to snap " PMD you idiot" than to explain. SilverCents Pillar of the Community United States 3281 Posts	Posted 02/23/2021 09:47 am There's been a heavy influx in the variety/error coin "searchers" because as social media progresses, more and more people will start watching the silly YouTube videos saying how rich they can become. This draws them in, and sends them here. I've noticed that society, at least more modern society, specifically relating to those that spend a good amount of their time on social media, tend to be very naive. They tend to stick with their opinions, and have the mindset "if you disagree with me, you're wrong." That's why there's more negative commenters in that section. They're being drawn in from social media, and they bring disdain and disrespect with them. Report this Post to the Staff
