What do you think is going on with this one? It looks like a strike through of some sort to me. Looks like there are some threads embedded. Hopefully it's not one of the those "it would not have left the mint like that" coins. The coin has seen better days, but curious as to what might have caused the issue shown. Thanks !

Note the distortion area is not round. The coin was altered after it left the mint. So it is PSD. (Post-Strike-Damage) Spendable coin.
