Here is a 1951 LWC that I see several issues with. The majority of my observations are based on information gained inn this forum. 1. Upper devices lost copper layer. 2. Irregularities in the field, specifically the upper rd. quadrant of the obverse do not appear to be entirely PMD. 3. The area of interest is the face job. The nose, lower eye, and jawbone. There appears and feels to be no metal pushed or moved by PMD in these areas. 4. The impressions in these areas show no visible evidence of PMD. They are smooth and appear to be as old as the strike. 5. Educate me. 6. Just when you thing you are starting to get the hang of it, one of these come along. And I read replays from from and old timer that says"Only post mint error coins". Well how do I know that if I am asking for an opinion? 7. If you only posted mint error coins, this forum would not be what it is. 8. Is the consensus that newbies "Only post mint error coins. Confused! Not the best images but hope it gets the opinion across. Your feedback is greatly appreciated, as usual.

Why is the first coin shown a 1987, yet your title says 1951?

Picked up the wrong image from the gallery. Otherwise , the 51. Am I banned now for the mistake? Must I bow now to a "Pillar of the Community" for my offense?

In your misplaced first posting, I have have may have pointed out different sections, but did I say "only post error coins"? No.

Merc never said to only post mint error coins. 90% of the coins posted here are either PMD or MD. Just because someone tells you a coin isn't what you thought it was doesn't mean they are being rude or mean. They are just providing you the knowledge from their experience.

This will be my last post. I will continue to observe from the sidelines and learn from those willing to teach others and disregard the opinions of that are condescending to others that lack their expertise in a subject or area of interest. There are people that gain pleasure from your lack of knowledge and revel in your ignorance. Sometimes it only takes one person to take the wind out of your sails, There for, I choose to observe rather than participate. I owe no one an apology for my curiousity. Isn't that what it is. I learned much here and will continue to. If I stick to the mature opinions. Thanks for all you have contributed.

@ Alwayslooking...OK, I get it...(uderstanding) "How do you know when...." maybe had you typed "How does one know when...." I know merclover would have addressed your question in a different way and she is probably the first to admit it...Give us another chance and keep posting Short story... I was teased a lot by classmates and my mother would always remind me "water off a ducks back" Edited: give time for responses...I'm a "single finger" typer... laughing at myself
