Dime Error With Faded Numbers - Coin Community Forum

coop Bedrock of the Community United States 62064 Posts	Posted 02/25/2021 07:26 am This looks more like devices were polished away. On a partial Grease Fill the devices would be wider. On this coin the devices are showing the tops of the devices, that if it were a grease issue would not be showing. Report this Post to the Staff

Also makes an appearance in the 'IGWT' characters closest to the rim. Thinking about it, this is not terribly uncommon in dimes from the late '90s through the 2000s--at least in my experience.
