I checked Wexler, Variety Vista, and LC Resource. No luck. Next question (Please say "NO!") is it worth slabbing?

More images than I like to send. I tried fussing with light and focus to give you the needed information

Kevin

Pics are out of focus. With these pics I see no RPM.

Pretty much how the "S" looked like back then:

The 4th pic from the top does seem to show a split upper serif of the S .
A in hand examination by an attributor would tell the tale.

Like this one, it is from Variety Vista. From that link I posted above, you can go to their home page. There are three sites I use, but I get images from PCGS and many are from the forum. If you want to see what Some called Coopapedia (I like that) you can get there from this link on CoopHome. Note it turned blue, when you see the blue letters on message, click on it and you will get more information. But the one above will take to a thread of 5 pages long on information new ones will enjoy. It is a thread of mostly information links to answer questions most have about coin collecting. Thousands of images on these pages. CoopHome, click on it and it will take you there. Also on my signature line you will see number 1-5. Those link up to YouTube videos that are about 20 minutes each. (2 hours total) These will help to get the basics. I called it "Coin Fishin'. What to keep and what to throw back."

I'm using a high resolution (42 MP) sensor on a scope capable of quite a scale of magnification. I see the images on a 16 inch HDMI screen. Starting from one to two thousand KB I have to pare them down to less than 300. They shed clarity at each stage. Often I look at the end product and start anew, but not always and the doubt-level often dictates the outcome of what I post. Starting anew renders a better result only on rare occasions.

@coop's and @stoneman277's responses intrigued me so I started again. I agree, it does look like a doubled upper serif. I think we can agree that the coin's a bit senile. To me it looks a great deal more like MMS-001. Thank you for a fun morning!
