This is the earliest notgeld note I've yet acquired.

Bielshowitz is located in Upper Silesia, which in the 18th century was annexed by Prussia, thus later becoming part of greater Germany. After the First World War, the region partially reverted to Poland. Following the Second World War, the rest also became Polish once again, save for a small portion that was awarded to Czechoslovakia.
