Hey Party Peeps,

I found this cool coin today. I am not really a dollar metal guy. I just want to share and get your take on this. Is it me, or is there something funky about the claws on the tails? Does it seem like it could be the claws from the Cheerios - version? Please check it out and let me know what you think? Also, is this worth getting graded? Thanks 🙏;, everyone in this forum rocks!

Don't want to burst your bubble, but I believe the "Cheerios" dollar has more detailed tail feathers...someone might be by shortly and post up pixs of this variety for you. Or you could try the search box (upper left corner)

Good luck on future finds, have fun and keep asking ...

To my knowledge, Cheerios dollars were only struck in Phili, this is a Denver. As GF said, tail feathers also had more detail on the CD.

Just a well circulated 2000 D, not worth grading.

Thanks, guys. I meant to look at the claws, not the feathers. The claws look like they are from the Cheerios box? ... Or maybe not. #128517;

I wasn't aware there was any difference in the claws on the Cheerios Dollar, other than a number of details being sharper. Yours looks normal to me, just stands out from circulation wear.

to the CCF!

The 2000-P Cheerios dollar has detailed tailfeathers, but I've never heard anything about it having different talons than the normal production Sacagawea dollar.

Here's the detail from my Cheerios dollar that I sold in 2019.
