Decided to show this one to you all from my error collection. It's the first Cud that I've actually owned (not including precuds and rimcuds). Not the greatest photos that's for sure, but I'm in a rush with college courses, don't have much time for anything anymore at the moment.

Nice example. Please show a full photo of the reverse, after you finish all those exams.

Thank you nickelsearcher, here's a photo of the reverse: There is some minor distortion going on with STATES, which is where the Cud is located on the obverse.

Nice Cud,it must be listed on the Cud site. You should put it in a 2x2 and label it as your first Cud find and put the attribution # on it. John1

It looks kind of odd as if the raised Cud broke off as if it were a lamination. Maybe someone else sees what I am seeing?

Nice Cud! that disturbance (weak strike due to no pressure from the void created from the broken Obverse die) on the reverse is a characteristic of a Cud on the other side of a coin.. Very nice..

Thank you all! Indeed I'll do just that John. Durwood, my photography was not great, I can assure you it is a Cud, laminations do not look like that.

That's a beauty! Quite a nice size as well. Best of luck with your courses!

Nice coin, Silver Cents! Hope the classes are going well. I just had my first less-busy week of classes in a while and had a chance to do a hunt.

Yes SilverCents it is a Cud.I'm not saying that it isn't a Cud, it just looks like the zinc is showing. Is the Cud incuse? I'm just asking because I'm curious.

@ Durwood...cuds are always raised and I believe this 82 cent is a 3.1 grammer...easy way to tell (without a scale) is on the reverse the "vases" on each side at the base of the stairs will show black spots (zinc) on most circulated 2.5g (zincolns)...this post was not meant to bash you, but to give you a little more knowledge for your collecting journey

The real question is whether that's a rim Cud on the coin as well up by TRUST.
