Hey friends,

I just found this 1960 Lincoln this morning. It looks like a small date with a crud chip that landed in the six on the obverse. Also, check out the "L" in Liberty looks like it's a little on the edge of the rim, and the "B" also had crud chip inside as well.

What are your thoughts? Worth anything?

Looks like a die chip in the 6, close-up would confirm, but I'm guessing there's no premium here.

The die chips issue with the small date design, led to the need to consider/accept the large date design. Thus the large and small date this year. The die chips seem to happen a lot on certain areas of the dies. The dark spot on the reverse under the base of the Memorial looks like a carbon spot. So it can be returned back into circulation or in the copper melt bag. The nice thing about reading a coin is that you can see what experienced during the striking process and the issue with the planchet. Not knowing this may result one to think they is the holy grail. But knowing, allows us to let it continue on it way or find a spot in a collection. Remember you learned it all here. Thanks a lot for this forum. to allow this to happen.
