Attached are pictures of JFK half dollar with what appears to be a large CUD/Die Break. I was under the impression that such breaks would show weakness on the opposite side, but that is not the case here. Also this coin's weight is 11.51g which is heavier than a standard clad half dollar. Is this a true mint error? If not what would cause this anomaly?

Not an error. It looks like something has accumulated on the Reverse
but hard to say what with the pink pictures. In any case, it would be considered damage.

If this were a Cud, then the opposite side would be showing a weakness because of the missing metal on the die, would not offer resistance to make the opposite side to form. But because that is not present, the strike was normal, and something was added to the coin. (covering the normal strike. Also the weight will be a bit heavy because of the added substance. Just an altered coin, just worth fave value now.

I kinda like the pink.

I agree, looks like a substance was added to the coin's reverse. Value: 50 cents.
