I've had this for awhile but don't really know all that much about it. The date September 6th, 1811 appears on the token but I am not sure what it refers to. Can anyone help me out?

Found reference to one similar in "SUPPLEMENTARY TITLE INDEX TO KENT'S VALUATION OF British Coins and Tokens", page 213. Wording doesn't appear to be exactly what is on your token, although I can't totally read the obverse in your picture. The book was published in 1918, here's the link (you can download the PDF if you like, too): http://www.archive.org/details/brit...cc00kentuoft

British coin search: http://www.archive.org/search.php?q...20British%22 (LOTS of good stuff in there to search on - maybe you can find your exact one).

DATED SEPT. 6th, 1811. BRISTOL BRIDGE (continued).
Davis
60/107 Ob. Arms and crest, Sept. 6th, 1811, Bristol, payable by W.
Sheppard, Exchange
Rv. 6 PENCE, Somerset, Wiltshire, Gloucestershire, &c., 2/, ef

The 60/107 appears to be the number of the token out of how many there are, then obverse and reverse descriptions. The 2/ appears to the value (2 pence?) and ef the grade when at that value. (old book )
