Looks like slight MD.
It being only above the shallower, odd-numbered stripes is a good clue to this. The shallower stripes are higher relief and jut out from the die face, so those stripes are more likely to make secondary contact with the coin when it bounces or shakes during striking (MD) than the raised, even-numbered stripes (lower relief on the die face).

That sounds good. I saw your 2012 with both stripes affected. I thought maybe DDR on mine but why on only those stripes.

I agree. Just spent that last few minutes looking at the 2020 PCGS cents. They have several of the Machine Doubling graded examples. Each was in a different direction. Even on was just like this one. When I looked at them for a while, the example like yours had all the push upwards on the devices. On the incuse devices the MD was in the opposite direction on all example I looked at. (The push stretched the movement on these devices in the same direction. If you didn't know these devices were incuse, it makes you think the Machine Doubling was in a different direction. But because we know this, then we see the MD as a push in the same direction. If anyone checks out the ones on the site, there are three with a stain on three of the cents, someone submitted. What a waste of money that was. LOL Here is the example like your coin with the MD going north on the reverse: https://images.PCGS.com/CoinFacts/3...637_2200.jpgYou can see the push north, just like your coin.

Thank you both. I did have my doubts of DDR. Especially when it fades away like on #5 & #11. I somewhat thought maybe being a gouge. The person that spent money on sending to PCGS thinking they were DDRs sorry they lost their money. Obviously they're not a member of CCF to get information. So many people want to quickly send in their coin to get graded. Sad.

Checking on the sites for a different DDR. Came across this on VarietyVista Are they sure it's DDR or why the (?) mark after their numbers?

The area where the three black arrows are is raised. So the marks on that area will be incuse or if they are raised, die chips? Not a doubled die, but damage/die damage. If it were a doubled die, then the EPU devices would be smaller, not normal sized:

Thanks everyone for looking. Still wondering why VV have the (?) with their numbering?

Rob0411, you bring up a good point. Anyone that's interested, here's a link to the page Rob is talking about. http://varietyvista.com/01e%20LC%20...1DDDR001.htm(He didn't photoshop the images above, they really have a " ?" for the variety number.) Things are still a little confusing at VV. I'm not really sure if CONECA owns the VV listings or if DR. Wiles does. His name is still listed as the "Author" and also states "Copyright James Wiles, 2021" His email is on the bottom of the page and you might send him an inquiry as to what is happening with the Variety number on this one being a " ?". I'm sure he could provide some insight.

Thanks Petespockets55. I did see his email. Kept maybe to emailing but other stuff (life stuff) has been getting in the way.

Probably wasn't sure if it were a class 9 doubled die and if it was a different die number. But I feel it is a class 9 doubled die as it is in the location of where they are found. (Maybe he wasn't sure if it should have been listed, or not?)

Look forward to hearing his take on the listing.
Let us know when you find out. Thanks.

Thanks for the update. I had a feeling it would be along those lines.

James Wiles suggested I post pictures with questions to CONECA forum. Guess I'll be doing that pretty soon.
