Agree with BobL.

#2 is a Vespasian denarius, and appears authentic to me.

Crystallization may have contributed to the breakage of the Vespasian, but at least that great mug of his was preserved.

I'm no expert on Roman profiles, but for me Vespasian is the easiest to identify, at least for faces without beards.

Makes you wonder if the Vespasian was not carefully clipped preserving the Mug and the Eagle.

The break looks too natural for a clipping. I think it's just that all that metal going to the portrait and eagle left the fields relatively thin and fragile.
